Job Title
Under general supervision, is responsible for performing supervisory and semi-technical work involved in the ordering, receipt, storage, maintenance, and issuance of stock materials and equipment. Exercises functional supervision over assigned staff. Work Location Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center - 900 E. Market Street, San Antonio, TX 78205 Work Schedule 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM; Monday - Friday Workdays and work location may vary based on department needs
Essential Job Functions
Organizes and directs the ordering, receiving, and stocking materials. Prepares and maintains requisitions. Maintains inventory accountability. Prepares cost records on materials and equipment. Prepares and authorizes financial transactions. Maintains database and files. Organizes and directs annual inventories of materials and equipment. Issues supplies to employees. Operates office equipment for ordering and issuing materials and equipment. Communicates and speaks to staff while assisting with tasks. Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency). Two (2) years of experience in supply procedures and inventory control. Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License
Unless otherwise stated, applicants are permitted to substitute two years of related full-time experience for one year of higher education or one year of related higher education for two years of experience in order to meet the minimum requirements of the job. One year of full-time experience is defined as 30 or more hours worked per week for 12 months. One year of higher education is defined as 30 credit hours completed at an accredited college or university.

Knowledge of record keeping and inventory control. Knowledge of inventory procedures and practices. Skill in utilizing a personal computer and associated software programs. Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate staff. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Ability to develop and implement inventory control techniques. Ability to compile and maintain records. Ability to perform all physical requirements of the job with or without accommodations. Working conditions are primarily inside a warehouse.
