Federal Work Study Positions

Federal Work Study positions are federally funded, part-time positions. Most positions are located on-campus but some may be located off-campus for students completing internships at non-profit or government agencies. On-campus positions may become available for general office and clerical work, information technology assistants or tutoring positions. All positions will require customer service. Some positions may also require clerical, computing, telephone, and filing skills. Each position will have a specific set of responsibilities that will be explained during the interview process.

Work hours will vary based upon assignment and individual class schedule. If eligible, a Federal Work Study student will not work more than 20 hours per week.

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Student must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at Ivy Tech Community College-Sellersburg.
• Student must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
• Student must have a current FAFSA on file.
• Student must have financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
