Position Summary
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) plays a central role in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care within MIORA's integrated medical model. As a frontline provider, this role is supporting patients throughout their health and wellness journey.
With a strong foundation in functional and integrative medicine, the NP / PA interprets diagnostic results, educates patients on treatment options, and collaborates with the broader clinical team to ensure coordinated care. This role actively contributes to patient acquisition by conducting complimentary consultations for prospective patients and clearly communicating the value of MIORA's programs. In addition, the NP / PA ensures meticulous documentation, contributes to administrative functions, and fosters a welcoming, supportive environment that promotes patient trust, satisfaction, and long-term engagement.
The NP / PA works closely with the medical director, Clinic Leader, registered dietitians, and other providers to deliver holistic, results-driven care that aligns with MIORA's mission of optimizing health, performance, and longevity.
Medical Oversight :
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) & Physician Assistant (PA) positions report to the Clinic Leader, who oversees clinic operations and administration duties, provides day-to-day support, feedback, and team alignment. All matters related to medical supervision, patient care, clinical protocols, and medical judgment must be directed to the Medical Director (MD), who holds the responsibility for clinical oversight and supervision. The Clinic Leader does not influence medical decision-making or clinical protocols.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
Patient On-boarding & On-going Care
- Conduct detailed patient consultations, including reviewing medical histories, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Develop personalized treatment plans, including recommendations for integrative medical care, lifestyle adjustments, and therapeutic interventions.
- Educate patients about integrative care programs, treatment options, and preventive care strategies.
- Promote clinical services by helping patients make informed decisions about their health and wellness journey
- Provide compassionate, patient-centric care that prioritizes patient satisfaction and comfort.
- Address patient inquiries and concerns, ensure a positive experience throughout the treatment process
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and ensure follow-up care is provided.
Documentation & Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and other necessary documentation within the EMR in compliance with clinic policies and standards.Support administrative functions by providing necessary patient data for reports and on-going care management.Collaboration with Clinic Team
Work closely with the Medical Director, medical providers, registered dietitians, Wellness Coordinator, and Clinic Leader to ensure seamless patient care and coordination of services.Actively participate in team meetings, contributing operational optimization, case discussions, and ensuring integrated care strategies are implemented.Complimentary Consultations for New Patient Acquisition :
Conduct complimentary consultations with prospective patients to assess their needs and explain available services and programs.Present the value of integrative medicine and MIORA's unique offerings to help drive patient acquisition.Establish rapport and build trust with potential patients, encouraging them to take the first step toward improved health through the clinic's offering.Minimum Required Qualifications
Education and Experience
Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the relevant state.Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in integrated healthcare or a related field.Strong knowledge of integrated healthcare principles, wellness programs, and patient education.Skills and Abilities
