Overview
Electric Boat is the premier designer and builder of nuclear powered submarines for the US Navy and we are experiencing a period of unprecedented growth! We are looking for people who want to learn and grow within our Welding Department as we continue to build the most advanced submarines.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for repair and maintenance of all manual, semi-automatic, and automatic welding equipment.
- Repair and maintenance of all oxygen / propane, oxygen / acetylene burning, preheat, and related equipment.
- Repair and maintenance of all mold in place equipment.
- Repair and maintenance of magna drills, boring bars and related equipment.
- Repair and maintenance of hydraulic jacks, pumps, and associated equipment.
- Work conditions may include confined spaces.
- Security clearance to enter all areas of the shipyard (CIA) is required.
- Must be able to work until the end of the normal scheduled shift hours.
- Must have the ability to distinguish between colors for the purpose of performing the job.
