Position Summary : The position encompasses the coordination of the clinical and operational functions of the unit on assigned shifts under the direction of the manager, through the coordination / delegation of patient care assignments and the supervision of licensed and unlicensed staff. Minimum Qualifications : Education : See Licenses and Certification. Experience : Has had a minimum of 6 months experience on his / her assigned unit and previous leadership, judgement and problem- solving experience. Knowledge and Skills : Able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. Able to work in a fast-paced environment; and manage / prioritize / complete work assignments and other duties as assigned. Demonstrates leadership skills through collaborative practice, demonstrates time management skills to the satisfaction of the director. License / Certifications : Current nursing license, state of California. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card. Physical Requirements : Must be able to perform the essential physical job requirements.
