Data Center Technician - Technical IT

Location : Leesburg, VA

Pay Range : $23 / hr.-$26 / hour

Shift : Night Shift A : 12-hours, 7 PM - 7 AM on Thursday - Saturday & every other Wednesday

What's the Job?

Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of IT equipment, following specific instructions and safety protocols.

Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling.

Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues, quickly identifying causes and performing break-fix repairs on faulty components.

Decommission hardware for system refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds.

Monitor systems for equipment failures or errors and respond to program error messages effectively.

What's Needed?

Computer Science majors OR CompTIA A+ or Server+ certifications.

Experience as a Data Center Technician, with hardware break-fix responsibilities.

Previous experience with Geek Squad computer repair or similar computer repair technician roles.

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.

2+ years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.

Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and / or holidays.
