We are looking for a detail-oriented Certified Payroll Specialist to join our client's team on a contract-to-hire basis in El Cajon, California. As a member of their team, you will help ensure compliance with certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements in accordance with industry standards.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and submit certified payroll reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions to maintain financial accuracy.
- Ensure adherence to prevailing wage requirements and other industry-specific payroll standards.
- Collaborate with team members to assist in transitioning payroll systems and improving workflows.
- Utilize Sage and Premier Construction Software for payroll and project management tasks.
- Provide administrative and accounting support to maintain smooth operations.
- Work closely with various departments to address payroll-related inquiries and ensure accurate reporting.
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Contribute to fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Proven experience in full-cycle payroll, preferably in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with certified payroll reporting and prevailing wage compliance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of Sage and Premier Construction Software is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across teams.
