  • Location : Webster, TX 77598 (Houston metro area)\n
  • Unit : Cardiac Stepdown / IMCU / Progressive Care\n
  • Assignment Type : Travel RN\n
  • Start Date : November 3, 2025\n
  • End Date : February 2, 2026\n
  • Duration : 13-week contract\n
  • Shift : 12-hour nights (7p-7a)\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts per assignment\n
  • Number of Beds : 10-bed cardiac stepdown unit\n
  • Patient Ratios : 1 : 3 or 1 : 4\n
  • Electronic Medical Record : Meditech EMR\n
  • Scrub Color : Blue\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1360-$1460\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active RN license (Texas or compact state)\n
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in IMCU, Progressive Care, or ICU-Stepdown nursing\n
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications\n
  • Experience with Bipap, trach vents, and cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Heparin, Cardizem, 3% Saline) preferred\n
  • Familiarity with chest tube insertion procedures is a plus\n
  • Flexible, positive attitude and strong clinical skills\n
  • Ability to float to IMCU / Stroke department as needed\n

    • \n\nCardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients in a 10-bed unit\n
  • Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced cardiac therapies and interventions\n
  • Administer medications and manage cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Heparin, and Cardizem\n
  • Operate and monitor Bipap and trach vent equipment\n
  • Assist with chest tube insertions and other cardiac unit procedures\n
  • Document patient care using Meditech EMR\n
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes\n
  • Maintain a flexible, team-oriented, and positive work environment\n
