Location : Queenstown, MD (Eastern Shore)

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 6 : 00 AM – 2 : 00 PM or 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 00 PM

Type : Contract-to-Hire

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team supporting operations across the Eastern Shore. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping equipment running at peak performance, enjoys problem-solving, and values working in a professional, team-oriented environment.

You’ll perform a mix of preventative and corrective maintenance on a wide range of facility systems—including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC—to ensure reliable operation and a safe working environment. Candidates located on the Eastern Shore side of the Bay Bridge are strongly preferred due to the on-call rotation and daily site needs.

What You’ll Do

Perform daily inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire / life safety systems.

Monitor building control systems, adjust settings, and record readings to maintain peak efficiency.

Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions to prevent downtime.

Support preventative maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reduce failures.

Coordinate and oversee contractor work to ensure safety, quality, and budget alignment.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, parts inventory, and tool tracking.

Uphold safety standards, proper handling of materials, and OSHA compliance at all times.

Respond to emergency maintenance calls as part of the on-call rotation.

What We’re Looking For

High School Diploma or equivalent.

0–2 years of relevant experience in building, facility, or industrial maintenance.

Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Proven ability to analyze and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic maintenance reporting tools.

Strong communication skills, reliability, and attention to detail.

EPA 608 Type II Certification required.

Preferred Qualifications :

EPA 608 Universal Certification

Two years of trade school or technical training in HVAC, refrigeration, or electrical systems.

Pay Details : 30.00 per hour
