HVAC Lead Installer

Location : Pompton Plains & the Greater Pequannock, NJ (S & M Heating & Air)

Job Type : Full-Time | In-Person

Earning Potential : $28-$35 / hr depending on experience (plus commission pay)

About the Job

We’re looking for an HVAC Lead Installer to join our award-winning team at S&M Heating & Air. In this role, you’ll install and test residential HVAC systems while delivering quality service to our customers. Whether you’re early in your HVAC career or a seasoned pro, this opportunity offers strong earning potential and steady year-round work.

What You’ll Do

  • Install and test HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, and ductwork
  • Perform duct cleaning
  • Follow manufacturer specs and company standards to ensure quality installations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, managers, and team members
  • Maintain truck inventory, cleanliness, and accurate paperwork
  • Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally
  • Participate in training programs to develop your skills
  • Prepare and issue invoices for maintenance appointments
  • Join the on-call rotation as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • 1-2 years of residential HVAC Lead installation experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and refrigerants
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
