Job Description

Under the direction of the Director of Reliability, this position will manage Rapid Response Teams (RRT's) to prevent and / or remediate major supply chain disruptions requiring cross-functional coordination. This position drives rapid remediation of issues across all JJV sites and External Manufacturers to avoid and / or minimize impacts to customer service.

Responsibilities include :

  • Initiate and lead Rapid Response Teams composed of cross-functional SME's, including technical operations, source, quality, planning, regulatory, manufacturing, and other related functions
  • Drive accountability across functions at different levels to enable timely and flawless execution of mitigation actions, managing multiple RRT's concurrently
  • Drive decisions among stakeholders to determine the most appropriate course of action using available data, assessing risks, and adequately justifying actions using sound business logic
  • Holds teams accountable for identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions
  • Drives a robust communication and escalation process, partnering with the team for internal communications including senior leaders and commercial partners
  • Develops executive summaries for internal communications
  • Builds strong interdependent partnerships with key stakeholders to address issues, manage conflicts, and to request support on mitigation strategies
  • Challenges the status-quo, identifies trends and systemic issues across products where possible, utilize lessons learned to make improvements
  • Partner with Value Stream Leaders on lessons learned to initiate discussions on investments for capability building
  • Lead proactive risk management initiatives (LTEM and Resiliency)
  • Manage the STEM program and support End to End Reliability Program

Experience and Qualifications :

  • 6-8 years of experience in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical companies
  • History of successful project management experience and delivery, showcasing in planning and execution
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and manage upwards and downwards
  • Ability to drive tradeoffs at the project level and escalate issues in a timely fashion
  • Experience with complex product risk identification, managing investigations and implementing corrective / preventive actions, leading or participating in issue management teams
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering results in a highly pressurized environment
  • Previous experience working in virtual, cross-cultural teams preferred
  • Operations / Technical Operations, Quality, or Planning experience preferred
  • A strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations is required
  • Educational Requirements :

  • Required : BA / BS degree : Business, Engineering, Sciences, or related fields
  • Preferred : MA / MS / MBA in Business, Engineering, Sciences, or related fields
  • Preferred : Process Excellence Certification (Lean / Six Sigma Green / Black Belt)
  • Preferred : Project Management Certification (FPX, PMI, or equivalent)
