Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the uping school year in a district located approximately 20 minutes southeast of Cleveland, OH. The focus is on Intervention Specialists, with multiple openings, particularly for middle school levels. Opportunities exist in both self-contained and inclusion classroom settings, providing a range of teaching experiences to suit your expertise and preferences.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to meet the unique learning needs of students with disabilities.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support students in both self-contained and inclusive classroom settings to promote academic and social development.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification with appropriate licensure for the state of Ohio.
  • Experience working with middle school students preferred but not required.
  • Ability to manage classrooms in self-contained and inclusion environments.
  • Strong munication and organizational skills.
