The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter with experience and superior skills at performing the following tasks with minimal supervision :
- Communicate with clients and witnesses to gather relevant facts needed to prepare pleadings, discovery, disclosure statements, and responses to discovery
- Draft discovery, discovery responses, and disclosure statements
- Draft stipulations and orders
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trial and arbitrations, including preparing exhibits, trial notebooks, and handling logistics (e.g., audio-visual needs)
- Manage the firm's calendar and case management database
- Review and summarize document productions and depositions
- Schedule meetings with clients, prospective clients, and others
- Coordinate with court reporters
- Arrange for and oversee service of process
- Perform administrative tasks as needed
The ideal candidate will also be proficient with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel) and Adobe, and have a strong working knowledge of the applicable Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure. Superior communication skills, writing skills, interpersonal skills, and professional appearance are also required.
