PLC / Controls Engineer, Automation Programmer

PLC / Controls Engineer

  • Onsite in Olive Branch, MS
  • Regular / extensive Travel not required

We are seeking an experienced PLC / Controls Engineer to join our automation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, programming, and maintaining control systems for industrial automation applications. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliable operation of automated processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement PLC programs for industrial automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems and PLC hardware.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate SCADA and HMI systems into existing infrastructure.
  • Perform system testing and validation to ensure compliance with safety standards and specifications.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for control systems, including software and hardware configurations.
  • Provide technical support and training to operations staff on control system functionalities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability.,

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in controls engineering and automation programming.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages and hardware, particularly Siemens and Allen-Bradley systems.
  • Familiarity with SCADA, HMI, and industrial networking protocols.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of safety systems and compliance regulations in industrial automation.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
