Medical Office Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Specialist to join our Neurology Clinic. As a Medical Office Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the clinic by providing administrative support to the medical staff and patients.

Responsibilities :

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Collect patient information and update medical records
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
  • Process patient payments
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and order as needed
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies

This position is full time. No weekends, no holidays. Health, vision, and dental insurance. 401K-match. Profit sharing opportunities available.

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
