About The Role

The Core UX team is responsible for owning and maintaining Twitch’s design system that supports building a cross-platform live streaming service. We are seeking a Senior Design Systems Designer to join our Core UX team at Twitch. In this role, you will support the evolution and maintenance of Twitch’s design system, ensure consistency and efficiency across our cross-platform service, and collaborate with cross-functional partners while representing the design system to the design organization.

You can work from Twitch’s headquarters in San Francisco, CA, or from hub locations in Seattle, WA; Irvine, CA; Los Angeles, CA; or New York City, NY.

You Will

• Collaborate with designers and engineers to evolve and maintain Twitch’s design system and product visual language, including color, typography, iconography, motion, grid, shape, illustration, and 3D, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to polish and performance.
• Lead the creation and refinement of UI components, patterns, and template libraries, ensuring high visual craft standards, accessibility alignment, and a systematic approach to design with consistency.
• Translate visual language principles into clear, actionable documentation and guidelines for widespread adoption by design and engineering teams, and present complex system decisions to diverse audiences.
• Participate in design system working sessions and workshops with product teams, and present system decisions confidently.
• Contribute to the strategic roadmap for the design system’s evolution, with a willingness to learn, iterate, and contribute to an evolving visual system.
• Advocate for accessibility standards and ensure component compliance, reflecting a commitment to inclusive design practices.
• Maintain openness to feedback, enjoy cross-functional collaboration, and help shape a visual language and design system used by millions daily.
• Participate in design reviews and QA processes to ensure fidelity and consistency across feature implementations, demonstrating high standards for visual craft.

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance and the Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. This position will remain open until filled. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from the lowest to the highest geographic market and is based on factors including market location, knowledge, skills, and experience. This is a total compensation statement and may include equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits as applicable. Applicants should apply via our internal or external career site. US Pay Per Year : $106,000—$184,000.
