Introduction Our client is an AAHA-accredited hospital in Algonquin, IL, with over 60 years of excellence in pet care, seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its growing team. This well-established small animal practice also treats avian, exotic, and pocket pets and offers a diverse and stimulating caseload in a modern, collaborative setting. Working Hours / Rota The hospital is open Monday and Friday from 8 : 00 AM to 6 : 00 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM, Saturday from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, and is closed on Thursdays and Sundays. This is a full-time position, and while specific doctor hours were not provided, the schedule offers stability with no overnight requirements, as emergency services are managed through a sister location. Role Description and Responsibilities The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering comprehensive wellness care, surgery, dentistry, and routine medical services. Emergency cases are handled off-site, allowing doctors to focus on scheduled care within a well-structured environment. The role is open to both new graduates and experienced veterinarians. New doctors will benefit from a strong mentorship program designed to support professional growth in a collaborative, patient-focused environment. Practice Details This hospital is equipped with advanced medical technology and provides a wide range of services including wellness care, surgery, dentistry, spay / neuter, microchipping, and the treatment of avian, exotic, and pocket pets.
