Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an inpatient rehab unit with variable shifts and weekend requirements.
Responsibilities
Work in an inpatient rehab unit within a hospital settingPatient assignments are typically five patients per RN on night shiftsNight shifts do not have a nursing assistant (NA) on duty; day and evening shifts have NA support if census exceeds seven patientsVaried 12-hour shifts including both days (0700–1930) and nights (1930–0730)Weekend shifts are requiredFloating to other units within the hospital as neededFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyNo more than one holiday request for time off will be accepted if multiple holidays fall during the assignmentNurses must not reside within a 60-mile radius of the facilityReturning travelers must take a one-year break in service after working a cumulative total of one year as a traveler at this facilityParticipation in any natural disaster or emergency response activity is requiredRequired to complete orientation modules during onboardingTwo employment references are required, with at least one from a supervisorRequirements
Active WI or compact RN license required at time of submissionCurrent BLS certification (AHA required)Minimum one year of RN experience requiredAnnual compliance with Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR), use of AIDET, and hourly roundingBenefits
