REMOTE - Java Technical Lead

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a remote Java Technical Lead to support a major security client. This role focuses on modernizing a customer-facing website in preparation for and during its go-live phase. The position involves developing and maintaining highly available web services hosted on AWS, with a future transition to GCP. The ideal candidate will lead projects, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet requirements while ensuring high-quality software delivery. The daily responsibilities include 30% hands-on coding and 70% team management to ensure timely achievement of requirements.

Skills and Requirements

• Lead projects and assist in scheduling and coordinating project deliverables
• Mentor and guide application developers and junior team members
• Provide senior-level support in configuration, coding and documenting software specifications through the project lifecycle
• 10+ years of experience with Java 12 or higher
• 10+ years of experience with Spring Boot
• Experience architecting, designing, developing, and consuming web services
• Extensive experience with Cloud Platforms (preferably GCP)
• Extensive experience with Spanner or PostgreSQL
• Excellent communication skills
• Extensive lead experience in a large enterprise environment
