We are seeking a highly motivated Product Manager with a strong technical background to join the team leading new product development. Responsibilities will span customer and market validation, technical validation, pilot deployments, and successful customer adoption. You will work within a cross-functional team, including R&D, engineering, automation, operations, and sales, to define product vision, prioritize features, and ensure market fit.
The products you will oversee incorporate automation, connectivity, system integration, and AI / ML into physical equipment in the gas and water treatment space. Products will be designed to integrate advanced machine learning algorithms into industrial automation and process control systems, with some features utilizing generative AI.
You are expected to bring the technical acumen, business strategy, and customer empathy to deliver solutions that solve real-world challenges in high-stakes industrial environments.
- Develop and manage project schedules and key deliverables
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Deliver results and report to leadership on progress, risks, and opportunities
- Conduct in-depth research on perceived needs in process control, predictive analytics, and automation; gather and analyze feedback to inform product decisions
- Translate business requirements into detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Ensure technical feasibility and alignment with customer needs and business model during early testing
- Convert prototypes into validated products
- Define product requirements, roadmaps, and success criteria
- Plan, coordinate, and manage customer pilot projects, including scoping, scheduling, and risk management
- Capture feedback and translate into product and process improvements.
- Drive the transition from pilot to scaled deployment, ensuring manufacturing and supply chain readiness
- Work closely with operations to ensure smooth installations, integrations, and performance evaluations
- Develop documentation, training materials, and playbooks
- Partner with commercial team to ensure strong customer adoption
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physical Sciences, or a related technical disciplineMinimum 5 years’ experience in oil & gas or other industrial-related processesEntrepreneurial spiritStrong project management skills with the ability to prioritize, schedule, and deliver under tight deadlinesExperience managing product road mapsProblem-solving mindset with the ability to evaluate technical, operational, and financial tradeoffsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsWillingness to engage hands-on in pilot deployments, including customer site visitsExperience with or knowledge of automation, process control, connected systems (IoT, sensors, controls), or industrial equipmentPreferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, or product analytics platforms (e.g., Mixpanel, Amplitude)Experience managing Kanban / agile software development processProven track record of launching successful tech products in B2B environments, with a focus on complex systems integrationWorking knowledge of AI / ML concepts, including supervised / unsupervised learning, predictive modeling, and edge computing for real-time process controlWork Environment - Conditions vary and include :
