Telemetry RN Job Details Location : Freeport, IL 61032 (Northern Illinois healthcare jobs) Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025 – End : 2 / 16 / 2026) Setting : Acute Care – Telemetry Unit (18 beds) Shift : 12-hour night shifts (typically 1900-0730) Hours : 36 hours per week (guaranteed) Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Holiday Requirement : Holiday rotation Orientation : 2 shifts (12 hours each) Estimated Weekly Pay : $1860 - $2000 Charting System : Meditech Scrub Color : Any color Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (required for submission) Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience (Cath Lab post recovery and stroke care highly preferred) Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Phlebotomy skills preferred Experience with IV drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Heparin) Familiarity with Meditech charting system is a plus Must disclose any previous employment at FHN Memorial locations Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to telemetry patients with diagnoses such as stroke, CHF, ACS, CAD, post-heart cath, and arrhythmias Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; sign off on telemetry strips Collaborate with monitor techs and other healthcare professionals Administer and monitor IV drips as required Float to ICU, Med / Surg, or ER as needed within scope of practice Participate in department-specific orientation and ongoing nursing education Work collaboratively with CNAs, charge nurses, and respiratory therapists Apply now to join our healthcare team in Freeport, Illinois, and make a difference as a Telemetry Registered Nurse.
