About The Position

Job Title : NICU Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Specialty : Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (19 : 00 - 07 : 30)

Experience : Minimum of 2 years NICU experience; First-timers accepted if they have more than 2 years NICU experience.

License : Registered Nurse license required

Certifications : BLS and Advanced NRP certifications required

Must-Have :

Floating required to PICU and CTICU

Experience with the following skills :

  • Administration of blood and blood products
  • Anti-Seizure Medications
  • Blood glucose monitoring
  • NICU III procedures
  • Placement and management of various tubes
  • Ventilator management

Description :

We are seeking a skilled NICU Registered Nurse.

The position requires the ability to float between PICU and CTICU.

Candidates must be flexible regarding scheduling.

Every other weekend or as needed weekend coverage is required.

There is no on-call requirement.

The position involves managing complex neonates, including administering medications and overseeing critical care procedures.

Experience with phototherapy, vasopressors, and neonatal abstinence syndrome is essential.

Applicants should possess proficiency in charting systems, preferably Epic.

Knowledge and experience in high-risk deliveries and managing various neonatal conditions will be beneficial.

Strong communication skills and family teaching are necessary for patient and family-centered care.

The facility supports interdisciplinary collaboration including teams across various specialties.

Candidates must exhibit the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
