Forklift Operator

We are seeking a diligent Forklift Operator who will play a crucial role in assisting with loading and unloading up to three trucks per night. The role also involves picking orders, learning to use an overhead crane, and supporting the Lead in various tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Pick and stage feedstock for fulfillment orders.
  • Break down bulk bundles for customer-specific orders.
  • Package materials according to customer requirements.
  • Operate a sit-down or side loader forklift to move materials as needed.
  • Properly complete paperwork and confirm SAP work orders for shipping and receiving on the computer.
  • Ensure maximum productivity for finished goods creation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, with potential changes to responsibilities, activities, or duties at any time without notice.

Essential Skills

  • Forklift operation experience : 2+ years.
  • Side forklift operation experience : 1+ year.
  • Overhead crane experience : 6+ months preferred.
  • Experience in sit-down forklift, production, inventory, packing, pallet jack, shipping and receiving, order picking, reach truck, and stand-up forklift operations.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic computer skills and comfort using a computer.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year in a similar job experience is preferred.
  • Regular attendance is essential.
  • Physical ability to meet vision, hearing, and mobility requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with team lifts or equipment required for anything heavier.

    Work Environment

    The work environment requires wearing jeans and a proper work tee shirt without offensive logos. PPE provided includes steel toe boots, a hard hat, gloves, and cut-resistant sleeves. The standard hours are from 5 : 00 AM to 1 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility required for the 3rd shift (11 : 30 PM to 8 : 00 AM) or an 8 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM shift.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
