Description :

Provides professional nursing care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process.

Assesses and reassesses young adult, adult, and elderly patients.

Applies nursing process to care for critically ill patients.

Performs airway management, basic and advanced.

Administers pain management and monitors cardiac conditions.

Provides post-operative care and recovery following vascular surgeries.

Delivers neurological and neurovascular care, as well as orthopedic and gastrointestinal care.

Administers pulmonary and respiratory care.

Handles genitourinary and renal care, including enteral nutrition.

Conducts skin assessments and provides appropriate care.

Manages central venous catheters and their maintenance.

Administers specialized IV drips and titrates medications.

Utilizes information management systems for patient care.

Performs IV therapy, transfusion therapy, and invasive monitoring.

Conducts waived testing and sedation.

Assists with specialized procedures and uses specialized equipment in critical care.

Manages Code Blue situations for inpatient areas.

Follows admission and discharge criteria and troubleshooting protocols.

Implements infection control measures and administers continuous renal replacement therapy.

Attends mandatory education and in-services.

Provides individualized, age-specific care that maintains homeostatic regulation.

Maintains accurate nursing documentation of patient histories and treatments.

Treats patients and families with respect and dignity while maintaining confidentiality.

Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs of patients and families.

Functions as a patient advocate.

Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan.

Interacts professionally with patients and families, involving them in care plans.

Formulates teaching plans based on identified learning needs and evaluates their effectiveness.

Supervises other healthcare staff involved in patient care.

Responds promptly to changes in workload to achieve optimal productivity.

Participates in performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes.

Functions as a preceptor to orient new employees.

Engages in professional growth through educational programs and meetings.

Ensures operation and maintenance of patient care equipment and supplies.

Demonstrates flexibility and organization under stressful situations.

Meets all departmental-specific competencies.

Performs housekeeping duties as needed.

Assists with the transportation of patients.

Adheres to dress code and medical center policies regarding infection control and safety.

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Serves as a team leader and role model for staff members.
