Salary : $70,000.00 plus PTO and Benefits
The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for operating a C-Arm to fluoroscopically assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopaedic disease or injury of the spine. This position travels with an assigned Physician between Tampa and Safety Harbor but may infrequently cover our Riverview office in times of staff shortage. This position is subject to PTO Blackout the last week of each December.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Prepares patient for fluoroscopic spine procedures
- Protects patient, self, and other staff from radiation hazards
- Draws medications for injection procedures prior to start of scheduled clinic
- Complies with all safety standards, consistently communicates, and pays strict attention to detail
- Monitors all supplies and submits purchasing requests to maintain proper supply levels
- Travels to Tampa and Safety Harbor clinic locations to perform radiologic duties as required
- Prepares lab specimens and completes process for LabCorp pickup
- Performs other duties as directed by Physicians or Practice Manager
QUALIFICATIONS :
High School DiplomaAssociate degree in Radiologic Technology from accredited state program requiredCurrent ARRT Licensure requiredMinimum 3-5 years experience working for an orthopaedic spine healthcare practice, spine pain management office, clinic, or hospitalBroad knowledge of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to radiology and sterile techniqueExcellent written and verbal communicatorThrives at a fast pace and adjusts flexibly to a continually changing environmentUtilizes good judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skillsAble to lift / push / pull 50 pounds safely and spends 90% of clinical days standing and walkingAdheres to all OSHA protocols for Bloodborne Pathogen exposure prevention and performs duties with proper PPE, proper handling / disposal of sharps, and complies with infection control proceduresAble to reliably travel between Tampa and Safety Harbor office locations as clinic schedules dictate, and may cover Riverview location infrequently if staff shortages existAbility to effectively understand, follow, and communicate oral and written instructions in English.
