Manager of Supply Chain Operations
The Manager of Supply Chain Operations – Clinical oversees strategic and daily operations of clinical supply chain functions across surgical, procedural, and critical care areas. This role supervises the Materials Analyst team and works closely with clinical teams to ensure supply availability, operational efficiency, and cost-effective inventory management. The manager leads data-driven inventory strategies, supports product standardization, and drives performance improvement initiatives aligned with health system goals.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight & Clinical Collaboration
Lead daily supply chain operations across perioperative and procedural areas to ensure availability of clinically essential supplies.
Supervise the Materials Analyst team, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance evaluation, and professional development.
Collaborate with clinical and nursing leaders to align inventory practices with care workflows.
Partner with supply chain leadership to ensure standardized operations and alignment across locations.
Inventory Optimization & Cost Management
Manage inventory replenishment, par-level maintenance, and demand forecasting based on utilization data.
Maintain accurate inventory records and reduce stockouts, overstock, expirations, and waste.
Collaborate with Finance and Value Analysis teams to identify cost-saving opportunities through product standardization and process improvements.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turns, usage variance, and slow-moving stock using data analytics tools.
Clinical Integration & Support
Serve as the primary liaison between procedural teams and Purchasing to resolve supply-related issues.
Facilitate new product rollouts and conversions, ensuring smooth clinical transitions.
Ensure compliance with system-wide contracting and product standardization efforts.
Project Leadership & Process Improvement
Lead and support projects such as OR remodels, service line expansions, and EMR / supply system integrations.
Prepare procedural areas for new services and increased volumes.
Champion continuous improvement through workflow analysis, staff engagement, and best practice implementation.

Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience : Demonstrated experience in healthcare supply chain management required.

Deep understanding of supply chain best practices, inventory systems, and regulatory compliance in healthcare.
