This is an onsite, full-time, Monday - Friday 9 : 00 a.m. -6 : 00 p.m., entry-level Lab Technician 1 position located in Williamsport, VA.

Compensation : $15.00 per hour

Join us as a Lab Technician I, where you'll put your love of science to work in the service center department of our Wiiliamsport environmental testing laboratory. You'll receive all the training you need to successfully take on your new role and grow an exciting laboratory sciences career at Pace®.

What you'll do

Support all laboratory sample-related activities, including preservation, preparation, processing and maintenance

Maintain and update appropriate documentation and databases

Participate in training on fundamental lab support policies, programs, and practices

What you'll bring

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to perform work in a lab or office setting, remain standing for long periods while conducting tests, work around strong smells, and wear personal protective equipment while handling samples (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses and gloves; all PPE provided by Pace®).

Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred, but not required

WORKING ENVIRONMENT :

Work is performed in a lab and office setting. Work is subject to chemicals, fumes, gasses, noxious odors, and related items in a lab setting.
