Overview
We are a large and reputable food manufacturing company located in Fresno, CA, USA. We are hiring for an Operations Automation Specialist. You will be reporting to the General Manager.
Responsibilities
- Providing technical support for all manufacturing processes and systems in plant automation, electrical controls, robotics and instrumentation.
- Develop and adhere to all engineering hardware and software standards for equipment integration, control hardware design and software development for both internal upgrades and new equipment installations.
- Develop and maintain an equipment reliability and optimal performance program including CMMS configuration for work order generation for preventative & predictive maintenance.
- Develop software applications and hardware architecture for plant floor control system integration.
- Perform employee training for equipment operation, cleaning and maintenance on site. Explain the function and performance of the equipment in classroom events and hands on at the machinery.
- Develop process narratives and functional descriptions to illustrate new process and control system improvements and equipment and process integration.
- Implement Continuous Improvement solutions and champion KPI optimization efforts with technology, automation, and communication systems. Drive Operations and Production KPI improvement.
- Deploy systems and procedures for plant floor ERP, PLC, HMI & MES backup / recovery and change management.
- Promote a safe working environment through compliance and understanding of Health & Safety, rules / standards and corporate policies and procedures.
Requirements
2+ years of experience as an Automation Technician / Millwright / Mechanic ideally within food / CPG / manufacturing companyBachelor's degree or diploma in electrical engineering.Experience with production management, Training and Change ManagementNice to have : OSHA / Work-Safety certificate / Electrical & Building Code, Food Safety, SQF, GMP's, CFIA, OSHA, Health & Safety regulationsGood computer skills (AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel)Knowledge of advanced PLC programming including Allan Bradley, ControlLogix / RS Logix, Siemens S7.Knowledge of robot systems (ABB, Delta, Fanuc).Basic knowledge of computer networking, Ethernet connections, TCP / IP protocol.Experience with the use of CMMS, statistical analysis software and AutoCAD.Business awareness and acumen, with an understanding of financial managementExcellent communication and organizational skillsExcellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skillsFluent in spoken and written EnglishValid Drivers LicenseJ-18808-Ljbffr
