The Aerial Lift Trimmer is responsible for trimming, pruning, and removing trees with the aid of a bucket truck or other equipment or tools. Previous experience is required as an Aerial Lift Trimmer or Jarraff Operator. Essential functions include following and enforcing safe practices, assisting in preparing truck and materials, performing professional tree maintenance activities, clearing and trimming trees and brush away from utility lines, maintaining and tracking tools and equipment, observing and practicing climbing and tree maintenance skills, assisting other crew members, and safeguarding employees and public from hazards. Supervisory responsibilities include no direct reports. Experience requirements include prior experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries, and previous aerial lift experience. Education requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge, skills, and abilities include demonstrating a working knowledge of knots, ropes, and rigging devices, identifying tree species, familiarity with electrical hazards, operating procedures, and emergency aerial techniques, working and maneuvering at considerable heights, possessing physical strength and agility, obtaining and maintaining first-aid certification and CPR, administering and implementing emergency rescue techniques, quickly removing oneself from potential danger areas, wearing necessary personal protective equipment, and traveling out of town for storm restoration work when needed.

Travel for storm work may be required.
