Job Summary

This position serves as an internal resource and support for managing post-award grant and contract activity in the College of Education. This position is integral to ensuring compliance and efficient administration of grant funding during the post-award cycle by working and communicating effectively with personnel within the college as well as the university writ large. This position will interpret award documents, establish, and maintain documents / files pertaining to post-award administration specific to the College of Education. Post award activities include regular review, reconciliation and projection of award finances, preparing adjustments and corrections to award budgets, preparing financial reports, and finalizing all financial requirements and reports to ensure compliance with sponsored research. Additionally, this position will work and communicate with the College of Education's Office of Innovation and Education Research.

Responsibilities

• Manage post-award activities for College of Education faculty research and sponsored projects, including budgeting, reporting, and general financial oversight
• Prepare and review budget revisions, no-cost extensions, sub-awards, and other project modifications
• Monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with federal, state, university, and sponsor guidelines
• Collaborate with College of Education faculty, staff, and central research administration offices to resolve issues and provide guidance on sponsor policies
• Generate regular financial reports and projections to support effective project management
• Assist with effort reporting, cost transfers, and audit preparation
• Maintain accurate grant records, documentation, and tracking systems
• Provide training and individualized support to College of Education faculty and project staff on best practices in post-award grant management
• Handle grant-related invoicing, purchasing and expenditure duties

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
