Utilize coding classification systems to ensure accurate code selection and reflect appropriate codes during patient encounters
Identify documentation gaps or inconsistencies, initiating coding queries to clarify documentation for accurate code assignment
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Certified Coding Specialist from the American Health Information Management Association
4 years of relevant work experience
High School Diploma or GED
