Nurse Practitioner

Koniag Professional Services (KPS), a Koniag Government Services company , is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to support KPS and our government customer in support of the Albany Military Entrance Processing Station. This position is for a future business opportunity.

Work Hours : Services are to be provided between the hours of 06 : 00 to 17 : 00 pm (remain flexible) Monday through Friday unless specified otherwise. Primary location of performance is : 11 A Clinton Avenue Albany NY, 12207

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to :

• Perform a review of the military service applicant medical histories, perform medical evaluations, and conduct reviews of medical test results and documents, with an end goal of determining whether an applicant for military service meets the medical standards established by Congress and the Military Services at one of the USMEPCOM geographically dispersed facilities
• Review of required medical tests and documents pertaining to consultations and medical histories.
• Secure a thorough health history from the applicant and record findings
• Arrange (but not performing) Medical consultations to include but not limited to orthopedics, psychiatry, ears, nose and throat specialty, dermatology, internal medicine, and dental.
• Accomplish the specified quantity and quality of work within the schedule and hours allotted herein.
• Perform records review / consult reviews and results reviews.
• Abide by DoD, USMEPCOM, and other applicable instructions, regulations, and policies.
• Apply accession medical standards to determine applicant medical qualifications.
• Become proficient in the application of accession medical standards to determine suitability of applicants for military service.
• Provide highest regard to applicant dignity.
• Secure a thorough health history from the applicant and record findings
