• Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any medical conditions.
• Administer vaccinations and medications as needed.
• Perform surgical procedures, including spaying, neutering, and other necessary operations.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure the safety of both animals and staff during procedures.
• Provide emergency care for injured or ill animals.
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
• Maintain accurate medical records for all patients treated.
• Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
• Skills
• Strong knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology.
• Proficiency in animal handling techniques, including dog handling and animal restraint methods.
• Experience with animal catheterization procedures.
• Familiarity with animal husbandry practices to ensure the well-being of pets in care.
• Ability to perform basic veterinary procedures with precision and care.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with pet owners and team members.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to address medical issues efficiently.
