About the Family and Social Services Administration :
The Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP) is a division within the Family and Social Services Administration, which receives around 18 percent of the state's budget to ensure vital health care coverage to approximately 1 in 4 Hoosiers. Role Overview :
The Compliance Manager for Hoosier Healthwise and the Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) is a key leadership role within the Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP), overseeing the Compliance Team responsible for monitoring contractor performance and adherence to requirements for Indiana's Medicaid programs. This role conducts contract compliance audits to ensure consistency, standardization, and accountability across direct reports and Managed Care Entities (MCEs). Responsibilities include reviewing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), Statements of Work (SOWs), reports and other documentation as needed, while supporting internal OMPP departments with tracking, follow-up, and resolution of MCE-related inquiries and readiness efforts. The Compliance Manager also fosters a positive team culture that promotes cross-training, collaboration, open feedback, succession planning, and leadership development.
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or public administration with at least nine years of experience in healthcare or Medicaid, or a master's degree with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience. Supervisory experience is preferred, along with knowledge of federal and state regulations and healthcare compliance. Familiarity with Medicaid delivery systems and Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP), particularly Hoosier Healthwise and HIP, is strongly preferred. Occasional travel, including overnight stays, may be required.
Salary Statement :
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $75,010.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and / or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
