Crane Operator Leader

You will serve as a Crane Operator Leader in the Crane Shop, Lifting and Handling Department of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR. Responsibilities include operating various types of boom cranes or overhead bridge cranes in various locations and in congested areas. You will monitor the mentoring of lesser skilled employees by direct contact and observation. You will assist the supervisor with timekeeping, project manning, and qualification checks prior to assigning work. You will maintain current knowledge and answer questions on procedures, policies, and written instructions. You will provide status reports to supervisor on work progress or delays. You will work in areas outside of your line of vision and accurately operate with direction from hand signals or high power radios. You will independently perform assignments as directed by supervisor and pass on orders to other workers. You will instruct others on proper operating techniques and safety precautions to be followed.
