OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in a school setting and possess a strong background in pediatric speech therapy. This role involves assessing and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in children, providing early intervention services, and collaborating with families and educational staff to support each child's development.
- Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities in pediatric patients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and specific needs.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills, including articulation, fluency, and language comprehension.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Provide education and resources to families regarding speech development and strategies for home support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment plans in accordance with medical standards.
- Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to speech therapy practices.
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques to identify communication disorders effectively.
- Understanding of physiology and anatomy as it relates to speech production and language processing.
- Experience with early intervention strategies for children with speech delays or disorders.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, families, and colleagues.
