Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher dedicated to making a difference in the lives of grade school students. This full-time, on-site position supports students in 3rd through 5th grade and offers a manageable caseload of 10-12 students. The role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, from 7 : 50 a.m. to 3 : 10 p.m., providing a consistent routine aligned with the school day.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver individualized instruction and support tailored to students with special needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning environments
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) according to state and federal guidelines
  • Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
  • Communicate effectively with families to support student growth and development

Qualifications :

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Special Education
  • Active Illinois teaching licensure in Special Education
  • Passion for working with elementary-aged children and fostering their academic and social growth
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • New graduates with the appropriate credentials are encouraged to apply
