Employment Type : Full-time

Shift : Days

Hours Per Week : 40-hour week

  • Location Outpatient MVO building

Hiring Range : $34.34-$44.64

The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities :

  • Performs initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition.
  • Establishes, revises and evaluates a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and

    • involves the patient / family.

  • Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate

    • for the condition of the patient.

  • Oversees activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel.

    • Complexity of Work :

  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal

    • supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

    Personal Protective Equipment :

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

    • Required Credential(s) :

  • BLS Provider obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy (RPT) credentialed from the New York Board of

    • Physical Therapy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

    Education :

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
