Overview – Senior Soils Laboratory Technician (CBR / Proctor) - St. Louis
- Lead soils / materials testing in a construction materials lab. Duties align with civil engineering technicians who test construction materials and document results.
- Full-time. On-site in St. Louis, MO.
- Hourly pay : $30-$34
Key Responsibilities – Senior Soils Laboratory Technician (CBR / Proctor) - St. Louis
Perform CBR testing and standard / modified Proctor compaction per lab procedures.Execute soils classification, moisture-density, and related index tests; maintain accurate test records.Drive quality control of sample preparation, equipment checks, and data integrity.Manage inventory : molds, reagents, consumables; reorder and track stock levels.Oversee logistics : sample intake, labeling, chain-of-custody, and tracking through LIMS.Calibrate and maintain lab equipment; escalate repairs per schedule.Support reporting to project engineers; meet deadlines and budgets; uphold client satisfaction.Mentor junior techs; act as lead on assigned work orders; safety-first culture.Qualifications – Senior Soils Laboratory Technician (CBR / Proctor) - St. Louis
4+ years in a soils / materials testing lab.Demonstrated experience with CBR and Proctor testing workflows.Strong QC mindset; meticulous labeling, tracking, and documentation.Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook; basic LIMS familiarity.Clear references attesting to technical rigor and reliability.Preferred Qualifications – Senior Soils Laboratory Technician (CBR / Proctor) - St. Louis
