Overview

The Asset Protection Specialist role at The Home Depot is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store(s). They utilize tools to minimize loss to the Company, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store's physical security, auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS), and driving a shrink-elimination culture in the store.

Responsibilities

  • Identify incidents of theft and fraud and review CCTV and exception reports to minimize loss.
  • Monitor the store's physical security and audit Electronic Article Surveillance to deter shrink.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries; preserve evidence; interact with law enforcement; and testify in criminal and civil court actions if required.
  • Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and work to minimize risk of injury to associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.
  • Demonstrate integrity at all times and respond to asset protection and operational concerns while remaining focused on store-specific business objectives.

Base pay range

$23.00 / hr - $23.00 / hr
