Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring CVICU experience, arrhythmia competency, and a WI or compact license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) within a hospital setting
  • Patient population includes cardiac and thoracic surgery, transplant, and device-assisted care
  • Utilizes NextStage CVVH machine and basic telemetry monitoring
  • 12-hour day / evening shifts (07 : 00-19 : 30), every other weekend, and some holiday coverage required
  • Travelers are the first to float between units or locations as needed
  • Join a collaborative team providing specialized care for cardiac, thoracic, and transplant patients in an acuity adaptable setting
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
  • Strict pass / fail telemetry testing is required before assignment begins
  • First-time travelers may be accepted
  • Comprehensive orientation is provided based on department schedule
  • Holiday assignments and weekend rotations are required per unit policy
  • Dress code and scrub color requirements will be provided upon assignment

  • Active WI or compact RN license in hand
  • BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
  • Minimum two years of acute care RN experience within the past three years in CVICU
  • Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required
  • Basic arrhythmia experience with successful completion of a telemetry exam prior to start (passing criteria must be met within two attempts)
