Job Description

American Traveler seeks a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of outpatient rehab experience for a day shift position at a critical access facility.

Responsibilities

  • Outpatient rehabilitation setting with floating required within the hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitals
  • Critical access hospital with a total of 25 beds
  • No weekend shifts required
  • Flexible scheduling options with 4x10 or 5x8 day shifts possible
  • Cerner EMR is used and experience is required
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this position
  • Grey scrubs are required
  • Must work at least 2 out of the 3 major holidays during the contract
  • No radius restriction; local candidates are welcome
  • Parking permit provided at no cost and arranged during orientation
  • Any former permanent or PRN employees must have a 12-month separation before consideration as a traveler
  • Time off requests exceeding 5 non-holiday days require facility approval

    • Requirements

  • Active Illinois PT license required if applicable
  • Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient physical therapy experience
  • Current BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross only, RQI cards not accepted)
  • Cerner EMR experience required
  • Must be able to float to different units or affiliate hospitals as needed
