Naik Consulting Group is currently seeking a Structural Inspector. Naik is a New York-New Jersey engineering services firm which specializes in engineering design, field inspection, and Project Management / Construction Management, primarily in the transportation infrastructure industry.

Responsibilities

• Monitors contractor operations and verifying conformance with project plans and specifications
• Serves as the on-site structural inspector for construction work performed by the contractor and subcontractors.
• Interacts with the construction contractor's site supervision on field activities to ensure compliance with the construction contract requirements
• Prepares daily reports, correspondence, change orders, periodic payment estimates, and quantity computations
• Observes details of work performed by others, documenting results; obtaining photographic documentation of work performed
• Confirms compliance with technical documents and industry-specific standards and codes
• Reviews and downloads field data into laptop computer and transfer to company server
• Discusses projects with project team on a daily basis
• Makes accurate judgment-calls on a variety of construction field activities
• Performs other like duties, as assigned
