Cookie Finance is hiring : Senior UX Developer and Designer in Syracuse

Base pay range $90,000.00 / yr - $110,000.00 / yr

The Job

As a Senior UX Developer / Designer on our engineering team, you'll play a critical role in building products that matter. You won't just be coding behind the scenes—you'll work directly with our CTO, contributing to high-impact decisions and helping shape the direction of our products.

You'll work on meaningful problems, collaborate closely with leadership, and see your work make a direct impact. We're growing fast. That means you'll get real opportunities for growth and ownership as we scale, and be involved in conversations that move the company forward.

This is a hybrid position based out of our Syracuse office—3 days in-office, 2 days remote. We believe the best work happens when there's a balance between focused heads-down time and real face-to-face collaboration.

Key Responsibilities :

Frontend Development : Design and develop the frontend of our web application in Next.js (React)

Excel in an entrepreneurial environment where autonomy and good ideas will have a major impact on the success of the business

Code Quality :

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices

User Experience Design :

Design workflows that create an outstanding User Experience

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

Collaborate closely with non-technical team members to refine product ideas

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve development processes

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience in frontend JS Development

2+ years of design / UX experience

Proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3

Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React / NextJS)

Proficiency with design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git)

Strong user empathy and aesthetic sensibility

Preferred Qualifications

B.S. in Computer Science, Graphic Design, or similar

Familiarity with modern backend frameworks (e.g. NodeJS / Express)

Understanding of Web Accessibility and how to design for WCAG guidelines

The targeted hiring base salary range for this role is between $90,000-$110,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to : prior work experience, training / education, transferable skills, business needs, and geographical location.
