Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for a day shift position requiring ARRT registration and mammography licensure or certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a diagnostic imaging department with a focus on mammography and DEXA scans
  • Level 4 trauma setting
  • Day shift schedule
  • Blue scrubs preferred
  • Patient population includes breast imaging and bone density screenings
  • Role involves operating and maintaining mammography equipment, including positioning and compressing patients’ breasts to obtain high-quality images
  • Evaluate mammogram images for quality and assist with retakes as needed
  • Educate patients about procedures and promote breast health awareness
  • Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

  • Pre-employment drug test and background check required
  • Work in a collaborative and supportive environment with a diverse healthcare team
  • Holiday coverage may be required according to facility schedule

  • ARRT registration is required
  • Mammography license or certification required; license required if applicable
  • Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of one year of mammography experience preferred
  • Current BLS / BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
  • Proficiency with EMR and computer skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work as part of a small team
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and adaptable to schedule changes
