MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN- PANEL MASTER
Location : MUSCLE SHOALS / LEIGHTON, AL
Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician / Panel Master with a strong background in industrial control systems and electrical troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing electrical control panels across various systems, including baghouse units, rotary furnaces, and plant automation panels such as those provided by Steiner or similar manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, including motors, control circuits, relays, PLCs, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on control panels for baghouses, rotary furnaces , and other process equipment.
- Troubleshoot and calibrate electronic control systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve process reliability and electrical efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and industrial electrical codes.
- Support in upgrading or modifying control panels and automation systems as needed.
Requirements :
Minimum 3 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician or Control Panel Technician in a manufacturing or smelting plant environment.Proven experience with industrial control system panels.Understanding of baghouse systems, rotary furnace controls , and power distribution equipment.Ability to troubleshoot PLC-based systems and industrial automation.Skilled in reading and creating electrical diagrams and blueprints.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Safety-oriented mindset and understanding of OSHA standards.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in aluminum smelting, foundry, or heavy industrial settings.Familiarity with i nstrumentation and sensor-based control systems.Knowledge of motor control centers (MCCs) and industrial wiring standards.PAY RATE : - starting at $27 / HR Based on Experience
Position is Full time :
1st SHIFT TIME- 6AM-2 : 30PM Monday-Friday or2nd SHIFT TIME : 2PM-10PM Monday -FridayWhy Wise
