Skilled Maintenance Technician

Pay Range : $34 – $38 per hour (based on experience & qualifications)

Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM (OT / split shift as needed)

Location : LaPorte, IN

About the Role

Worldwide Foam is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our LaPorte team. In this role, you'll ensure our facility and equipment run safely and efficiently by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. This is a hands-on position with no travel required, offering stability, growth, and the chance to make a direct impact on daily operations

What You'll Do

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and systems

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and HVAC issues

Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety risks

Coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs when needed

Maintain accurate records of work, inspections, and repairs

Support facility upkeep, including both interior and exterior maintenance

Uphold safety standards and comply with OSHA and company policies

What We're Looking For

3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing / warehouse environment

Hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, forklifts, and scissor lifts

Proficiency with diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals / blueprints

Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems

Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills

Must be forklift safety certified (or willing to certify with WF training)

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Microsoft Office proficiency preferred

Physical & Work Environment

Ability to lift / carry up to 50 lbs frequently

Comfortable working indoors and outdoors year-round (temperatures : -10°F to 95+°F)

Willing to work in environments with noise, dust, and heavy machinery
