Overview
Agronomy Applicator-Driver (Full-Time) – Malone, WI. Country Visions Cooperative is hiring a full-time Agronomy Applicator (Driver). The Agronomy Applicator is responsible for accurate application of fertilizer and crop protection products and serves as the final link to ensure customer satisfaction in the results of prescription nutrient placement and crop protection.
Responsibilities
- Train and operate self-propelled equipment to apply fertilizer and / or chemicals to crops in farm fields during the growing season (typically mid-April through early July).
- Operate machines, field computers, and electronic dispatching to ensure timely and accurate fertilizer and chemical applications.
- Use provided computer software for field mapping, crop planning and record keeping of customer operations.
- Understand the products utilized and the reasons for their application.
- Make deliveries to farms of liquid and dry fertilizers or other products with a pickup, straight, or semi-trucks as necessary.
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance of agricultural application equipment (CASE, RBR, RoGator).
- Assist with facility maintenance and repair of buildings and operational equipment as needed.
- Travel between Country Visions Cooperative locations and customer operations as required.
- Collaborate with other Country Visions Cooperative employees on a daily basis.
- Work additional / hours during peak seasons as needed.
- Communicate effectively with agronomists and team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Hours
Typical work week is Monday through Friday.Saturday and some Sunday hours are expected during May and June (Spring Season).Some unpredictable and extended work hours may occur seasonally.Qualifications And Educational Requirements
Must possess, or be able to obtain, a Wisconsin Commercial Pesticide Operator license. Country Visions will assist with the process and pay the cost to obtain.Valid Class A CDL is preferred but not required. If CDL is needed, Country Visions Cooperative offers 100% reimbursement for CDL schooling.Clean driving record required.Conscientious attitude and attention to detail are essential for success.Thorough knowledge of agronomic crop production practices.Excellent communication skills.Ability to adapt to interruptions and work in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational skills and attention to details.Problem-solving skills.Computer skills adequate to operate field computers.Benefits
Competitive pay : base $21.00–$28.00 per hour.
