Job Description

Wellstar Health System is seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our General Cardiology team at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital . This weekend day position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality cardiac care in a collaborative hospital setting, while enjoying a flexible work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general cardiology inpatient consultation and management, including admission workups and follow-up care.
• Perform clinical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic testing, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the attending cardiologist.
• Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (Epic).
• Collaborate with the cardiology team, hospitalists, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care.
• Participate in daily team rounds and discharge planning.
• Ensure smooth hand-offs with weekday team at start and end of weekend coverage.
