Agency Loan Administrator

The client is a commercial bank that started in Japan. They are the third largest bank in Japan and offer services such as investment banking, global markets, and sales and trading.

Job Description

  • Coordinate the closing and ongoing administration of syndicated and bilateral loan transactions, ensuring accurate setup and execution.
  • Review credit agreements and related documents to validate operational feasibility and ensure proper system configuration.
  • Manage daily loan servicing activities such as borrowings, repayments, interest calculations, and fee disbursements.
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams, agent banks, and clients to facilitate smooth transaction processing and issue resolution.
  • Perform reconciliations, monitor cash movements, and troubleshoot discrepancies in loan data and funding activity.
  • Support compliance and data integrity efforts by maintaining accurate records, participating in audits, and adhering to regulatory standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • 3-6 years of experience in loan servicing or agency operations, preferably within a large financial institution or syndicated lending environment.
  • Proficiency with loan systems such as ACBS or LoanIQ, and familiarity with interpreting credit agreements and related legal documentation.
  • Strong understanding of complex loan structures, including project finance, securitizations, and institutional term loans.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume transactions, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and ensure accuracy in fund movements and fee calculations.
  • Solid knowledge of interest rate mechanics (e.g., SOFR), payment systems (e.g., SWIFT, FED, CHIPS), and regulatory compliance in a lending context.
